Have I missed blogging? Well I do not even need to answer that- this post should answer!
I know I know I have been off the radar in fact, I have been far away from the radar until it located me on the new planet called Planet Busy!
Throughout the month of May I think it’s safe to say I was a conveyor belt- busy 24/7. I barely hung out at all in May- last May was a busy busy month for me. You want to know what I was doing? Gimme a call on 01-missytee and I’ll give you every tinny little detail. Don't wanna bore people with the uber long list.
How have you all been by the way?
To those who checked up and asked why my blog was so quiet- thanks a bunsheeeees! You all are the best!
I just finished reading Atilola’s book- Yep I started today and finished today. I started reading saying okay I should finish this by tomorrow but seriously I just could not get myself to close the page- it was fabulous I really like the Chief Goshe’s bit, My own enemy (I think there is a word missing there I can't recall atm but it should return), The Lagos Bus Conductor, The lady preacher- Fire and Brimstone preacher??, the street with numerous churches seriously lets just say I loved them all. I was putting off reading the book till I bought the hard copy but I could not resist. I think I might be the first to actually write a review on Amazon- we’ll see. Oh and the bit Mrs PRESSURED? that says that people should not call me Mama *insert child’s name* I am Atilola even if I have 20 children.......... J’adore that bit- I agree 100%! Or is it this Parrot girl you wanna talk about- okay I’ll stop analysing the book now. Click on the link on my blog on the right for more as in I mean buy the book and read it!
I shall read the book again!
I need to apologise publicly by the way to Atilola- I did get your email but I haven’t been able to reply SORRY!!! but I have managed sort it out- I hope I am forgiven? :-) I’m not usually like that- I reply emails regularly it’s just this one time.
Hola!!
Como estas? bien supongo?
(How are you? Fine I guess?)
So the 'relationship' talk came up again in one of my talks with the Ami . Thank goodness this one did not end in an argument.
We were talking about the main reason for going in a relationship.
From my point of view on what others think, I think majority of the ladies out there go in a relationship because they feel it is a necessity; they can't be alone without a man in their lives. I am not disputing this however I believe men also go into relationships because they just want to have a woman in their life for the moment- this is when they are not so ready or even planning on getting married in the nearest future.
Therefore, the ladies become exploited due to the patriarchal power the men have- some women and men give their all in relationships because they believe the other person is serious and would be their future partner. Minority of the people in this kind of scenario do go on to get married and all that because their feelings are mutual however majority end up in heartbreaks and all.
This topic is a bit confusing and rambling- don't be surprised if you are a bit lost with this.
Like always. here's a scenario;
a friend of mine who is still pretty young and in terms of marriage is not so ready for it right now was telling me about her "ex". According to her, she felt like she had a loose knot in her head when she was in the relationship. She said he would call her at night and say he is hungry and she will take her time out to cook for him and when she does call him to come pick the food up- he'd tell her to bring it over to his house which is not that close to hers. She also said during his birthdays- she bought him really expensive gifts and I can't seem to remember what she said she bought him once; he refused it and said why would she buy such "cheap" thing which was not SO or even cheap at all blah blah. So she said she apologised and took him to the store and on arrival at the store, she saw a really expensive gift and told him to take of which he embarrassed her or something- this was a long time ago so I do apologise that I can't remember the full story anymore.
She did explain that she thought she was mad in love with this dude but at the end, it turned out that he just wanted a "maid" or "girl figure" so he looked goooooddd in the midst of his friends. It turned out that the guy then realised that my lovely friend had stopped him in his tracks and he started begging. Thank God she was quick to get out of it.
My point- why exactly did she go in a relationship? She thought she loved him and thought it was high time she had some "man" power or figure in her life when that was the least of the things she needed.
Anyways, she did get out of that one- and has learnt her lesson so she is still single for now.
My friend said- this is another friend who is now married;
I need a man to complete me and not to rely on because majority of the women out there believe they need to rely on a man to be able to make it in life or be comfortable.
I agreed with her on the spot and really thought about it hard afterwards. I do not think ladies need men to make it in life, be comfortable and all that as they ok lemme say we think. This friend of mine was and is MADE and when I say MADE i mean MADE I don't want to over exaggerate things now but she was pretty comfortable . If marriage was not a necessity I doubt if she'd actually have gone into it. She was comfortable as a spinster although she was pretty quiet and we had loads and loads of shopping, movies and lunch days oh how I miss you girl...see how marriage has moved you away from the city now :-(- I'm glad she is married though so I am not complaining. Even on her wedding day, you could see that she was complete- it was like a little piece of a puzzle being inserted into its place.
She made me understand that sometimes if you rely on men, you do not get the push to better yourself or be someone of your own, it makes you subordinate to men and vice versa if you are a man. But what can I say. Her words keep ringing in my mind whenever I think about the "relationship" topic.
When I see ladies hopping from one man to another, I keep thinking they could save themselves a lot of money, time, emotional stress and all that by waiting for the "right" one to "complete" them.
So I can clarify things in my mind and to get everyones opinion on the topic- I have brought it here for you guys to please read and share you thoughts. What do you think? Thanks
PS- has anyone seen Good Deeds- Tyler Perry's new movie????? Oh my goodness- I absolutely love that movie to pieces. And why does Tyler Perry look so cute in that movie? Why aren't you a little younger and residing in my hood Tyler? *sigh* LOL.
Ok did I tell you guys that I got chocolate for Valentine's? At least I got something however small- I won't tell you who gave me the choc! Here is a picture of the chocolate bar. What?? chocolate is chocolate whether bar or not. And I'm still waiting for Honeydame to share chinchin so I will let you guys know when she does. :-)
Yes you read that right snow. We've just had snow since Christmas and No, its not funny.
Hola!!
How are you doing? I seriously mean this question I wanna know how you are all doing so let me know.
I am sorry I have been away for so long. I have definitely missed blogging. So it February, the famous month named the Love Month (sigh!). Valentine's day is just 9 days away so lets look out for chocolate and roses from someone who knows our zip code or some postman who mixes the zip code with another. (Just teasing!)
So what makes February so special, its the second month of the year, a month were lovers are meant to show affection towards each other by exchanging gifts and all that (is that right?)
Anyway, I got into an argument with a friend of mind regarding public display of affection, PDA for short! Before I talk about that; let me gist you about I love my baby that's my baby. (I typed this last week and it was sat in my draft pile of posts anyway here it is, I 'm merging posts here)
Yello' peoples (Okay that was MTN's way of saying Hello 10 years ago)
I am one for using sweet words like Darling, Sweetie, Sugar (love this the most), Love, Honey and so on randomly.....you get the gist.
But some people just take it way too far. I wouldn't have blogged about it if she had STOPPED saying baby!
I thought about this when a friend of mine whom we were inseparable back in Secondary School was telling me about her 'boyfriend' who she refers to all the time as 'My Baby'.
This young lady once told me when we were in Secondary School that her first boyfriend was going to be her husband but my darling friend kind of faced reality quickly. ***gist for another day****
We reconnected lately and we've been talking almost everyday and there is no time that she doesn't talk about 'Her Baby'. It gets on my nerves when it gets too much and I pull faces even though she can't see them but I do show her sometimes by sending her bbm ***rolling eyes or not interested*** but she doesn't get it most times because I am too nice I guess that I literally send them in a nice way.
Whenever she updates her BBM status, she just says the same thing- 'I miss my 'Baby' and all that. When she sends me IMs, majority of what she says is; I can't wait to see my baby, my baby is so busy, my baby bought me this, my baby and I are just out chilling, my baby and I are going to church, my baby and I....... and I find it so hard to just tell to zip it (a more polite way to say 'Shut it!').
I am not saying she shouldn't tell me about her boyfriend but she goes too far with it sometimes and she also just doesn't quit saying my baby. She does realise sometimes that she is saying my baby too much but she can't control it. She says it so much that she can make you snap at her unconsciously.
I was one day pushed to actually tell her to quit the 'baby' talk because its getting too much.
Back to the argument now; we were talking as usual and she said ' When my baby and I go out, I get shy when he kisses me'. My dear, my head went rolling 4606 degrees and I said uhmmm lady what are you talking about? Before I say what I told her, I do not really believe in all that kind of PDA with a boyfriend, he has to put a ring on the finger and pay the necessary things beforehand. I am pretty traditional so please do not slaughter me.
So I asked her, are you meant to be doing that most especially when you are not sure he is for keeps? Kiss on the hand or cheek is fine but not going that far*. So I went on to say that what if you break up with him now and then you go out with another and then you'd kiss that one too? That means you'd have a list of kissed or PDAed ex-boyfriends?
She kept saying, I don't see anything wrong with that. You have to, it is necessary and all that she was starting to get a little angry and I had to pull back a bit. She kept going on saying that they are really close and have been friends since childhood and they trust each other so much and bla bla. It got so complicated and she just went on and on but at the end of it all she said 'it is well' and that made me laugh because I was dazed, she was the one getting all upset about the issue. I just changed the topic.
I love things done in moderation and in the right way which is the traditional way.
So who are the fabulous people to tell about this other than my beautiful blogfam. What do you think? Am I too traditional or what? Was she right in her saying? Is being traditional wrong?
I really wanna know so please drop some thoughts. Thanks!
And oh yea we finally had some snow. Grrrr , not that I am excited about that but what can I do. My fingers were going numb holding the wheel and my back and shoulders were all tensed because I was just so stiff. Sigh!
Here are some pictures, its not even that heavy snow and also during the week when the snow was still prepping to fall, I noticed on my way out that my gloves and nail varnish MATCHED! It was so unplanned and I really did not know until I was heading out. I smiled to myself when I realised, I just hope no one saw me when I did that #littlethingsthatexciteyouinthemorning. Please ignore the keys and my lovely keyholder, love it!
The not-so thick snow
My Unplanned matching nail colour and glove
In other news, I heard about Chigal about 4 days ago while snooping around Youtube (not that I do it all the time). Like I always say, there is love in sharing.
You get itit? Please watch, she is HILARIOUS!
I look forward to reading your thoughts guys.
*apologies for the long post*
As always
Luv
Its so annoying and heart-breaking to so see people losing their lives and being killed for no reason at all. So about 150 people have been killed in Kano, Nigeria by *you know who*.
I have been keeping away from saying anything about *you know who* on my blog but I just have to at this moment.
Why are Nigerians being treated like this? What is going on? Is it nearing the endtime as described Revelations? What? Why? Who? When?....those are the questions being asked by Nigerians.
-If you have noticed, I just am so dumbfounded about the issue that all I can do is ask questions-
It is disheartening and appalling. Seriously????
Also about the fuel price at N95? Nigerians kind of dissappointed mehn. I did not think they'd settle for anything higher than the former N65. They should note that because Uncle Jona has agreed for fuel price to be reduced to N95 does not mean he doesn't know what he is doing. When fuel price hits N147 in the future again, they will be unconsciously roped in to accept that price. For crying out loud, right now fuel is N3 away from N100 per litre!!!! Really? Wooooooow- I still don't gree- I think I'll continue my protest over here.
Also about Seal and Heidi Klum's divorce. WHAT?? I thought they were the perf... couple. All these famous people, J-Lo and Marc, Kim and Kris, Katy and Russell and now Heidi and Seal??
Wooowooowoooowie!
They keep getting married and divorced like they are changing their babies nappies!
Well......some rantings of mine.
Merry Happy New Year sugars. *I'm going to act like I haven't been away for too long *silent apology*.
Hope 2012 is going good for you guys and you are keeping up with your resolutions? Don't let them slip though (wait till Feb and I bet you'd even forget about the list of resolutions).
So so so, I can't act like I haven't been hearing things about Nigeria the great in the news for like forever now. First thing I heard of was the fuel subsidy removal and the fuel price hike to N147 from N65.
First up, I think the people we have in government now are so rich that they believe everybody in Nigeria can afford to buy fuel for N147.
They are so covered in the face with the wealth and affluence that it is so hard for them to see that Nigerians are not happy with the way they are being governed.
*I do not intend to mention names or curse or point fingers*
Nigerians do not have a good source of electricity, majority of the people in Nigeria run their electrical appliances on their own private energy source, the ever faithful generators. No wonder Chinese and Japanese generator makers enjoy business in Nigeria. That is one thing the government has turned a blind eye to for decades. To further increase people's agony, they are hiking the fuel price meaning that they might not be able to use their generators like before, people might not be able to use their cars like before. This therefore leads to increased armed robbery rates not only due to the hike but the darkness as a result of no electricity source in Nigeria will become more pronounced, people will have to start walking and using public transport means of which they will also increase their transport fares forcing some people to resort to walking long distances or just point blank sitting at home, becoming jobless. Removing the fuel subsidy doesn't even seem like there is going to be any difference because it wasn't even felt before so removing it and adding it to something else also does not mean what it is being added to is going to be felt- that's just some rambling thoughts. Notwithstanding, I am not supporting the fuel subsidy removal.
Nigeria's so called budget is probably NOT for Nigeria because it is NOT felt in Nigeria. All that budget for maintenance, education and bla bla bla, it is all gist. Buildings have been erected for decades and they do not do any silly maintenance on them so they end up collapsing, yet they claim that there is some budget for building maintenance? pls tell that to the trees, they are willing to hear all that, that's just an example.
Talk about miss you guys, I have missed you guys so very much you can't even imagine. I should have posted this during the week but I spent the most of Monday on a train going down the map. It was tiring, annoying but trust me it was all worth it.
Before that, Update on my Christmas shopping. I finally got round to doing my Christmas shopping a week exactly before Christmas- Last Sunday!!!!!!! It kind of cost more than it would if I paid a lot of attention to my shopping and if I did it in advance. Also about my Christmas tree, I finally put that up on Thursday evening. Sigh- Thank God for 2011! It was snowing cat and dogs last Christmas but the weather forecast is 15 degrees Celsius max for Christmas- thats awesome.
Ok moving on to the three days of fun story:
I decided to go visit my sister 'Miss Tee' as I'd love to call her here (Yes she is Miss Tee too! and no not Miss Tee from this post and post) as it was her postgrad grad (you know what I mean) so I hopped on the train to begin the journey there. So being that I hadn't been over to hers in a year- I didn't take much clothes and accessories because I thought I was returning up the map the next day. When I got there- my mind changed with immediate effect.
First up, I left at past 1pm to commence a journey that was meant to last about 4-5 hours max. But my train was delayed and I was carrying this big cake along with me that she had no clue whatsoever about. But due to all the delays and everything guess what happened, I miss the whole grad thing!!!!! I was so mad at myself and the train that I couldn't even talk when everyone was calling to ask where I was. I then texted them all and told them to text me instead cuz I can't talk. I was hiding under the 'tired' excuse when to be honest I was ANGRY!!!
So my sister was kind of getting worried that I was still far away and didn't even worry too much or get too angry that I missed the main show. When I arrived finally at almost 8'o' clock, she was busy taking pictures with her friend in the lounge when I just cropped up behind her. The look on her face when she saw me there was priceless that all the anger flew away with the birds. When she saw the cake too- the expression? undescribeable!
I was totally exhausted as I had not eaten real food all day apart from the couple of short bread biscuits I had on the train. So yea yea yea. She looked so pretty in her dress and all.
When I got upstairs and pushed the door open, my knees just gave way and I fell to the floor because I couldn't even stand anymore- Yes I was that tired! My cousin was there and he was shocked that I fell to the floor.
Anyways yea. So when everything settled down- my sister told me about a party that she was going to the next day and she persuaded me to stay. I jumped and said Yea, sure! not remembering that I didn't bring a lot of accessories and bla bla bla.
Lo and Behold, every other person left for their respective homes and then I was left with the trio making me the fourth and extra one.
Skip to the evening, one of the girls Miss I as I would like to call her on here was meant to go over to her sister's house in Manchester as she was (well she's left now) going over to Nigeria for Christmas. 'Miss I' booked her ticket a week or so ago at a reduced price. She was really excited then came the time for her to leave, she left for the train station with my sister and then she ran back again- I thought she left something and had found it but she returned again with my sister. Apparently, 'Miss I' had misplaced her card as she can only collect her ticket with the card used in booking it. She was really angry- we all helped her in looking for the card but couldn't find it. Then she called her sister and they started shouting at each other over the phone. All I could do was stare because she was obviously really angry.
That went by and it was time for us to get ready for the house party we were to attend. 'Miss I' then decided to come along which was a good idea.
We began the train journey of almost an hour to go stay at a party for about half an hour. I'm not complaining because it was fun and nice to be out.
Missy Tee- I like this picture because my face can't be seen fully.
This was when I was taking pictures for my blog.
Miss I- She was on the phone
for almost the whole journey
Miss I again- she was still on the phone but
the brolly was kind of away from her face
Miss Tee- She took the picture of me and
we both kept dancing on the roads and at the train stations
to songs from her phone. (It was really loud)!
The last train station before the party destination.
We were waiting for the host to come get us.......
..........so I took some pictures, the words above are translated in Welsh below.
.........I couldn't resist.....
I didn't really like what I was wearing because I didn't pay a lot of attention and did not bring the clothes I would have loved to wear along. Anyway thats gone now.
I had so much funnnnnnn- I can't even explain it enough.
Those three days were pure and clean fun.......
Then I left along with Miss I on Wednesday on different trains to the same destination can you imagine but I had to catch a connecting train which was also delayed......sigh!
Miss I and Missy Tee...Miss O took this picture and I absolutely love it. It is perfect.
I told you I'd be back in a few hours well I literally am blogging a few hours later....lol.
Thanks 9jafoodie I'm back now. ;-) Please show 9jafoodie's website some love.. and don't forget to sign up!
Well the title is that because it rhymes but yea I've been baking,, braiding and cooking (but this is a psot for another day because I cannot seem to get the pictures up here but yea I'll sort that out for the next post- and 9jafoodies, you inspired the cooking bit!)
I loooovve baking so much that although I am not a professional baker I have sort of professional tools for baking. A non-professional baker would probably jusy have a spatula and a bowl and use spoons to measure and not bother buying the baking tins but just use cup cake cases.....' that's my little idea of what a non-professional baker who just bakes when they have to or for some reason have to bake an impromptu cake. wow look at all that rambling lol Ok back to my point. I do NOT bake all the time but I do sometimes when I just feel like because I think it is a relaxing activity and totally wonderful to bake for people. So I used my pretty WHITE mixer, my red spatula, my white measuring tool and my grey pans (I love the colors thats why I'm showing them off lol).
So I baked a couple of cakes; a carrot and lemon cake.
Like I emphasised above, I am not a professional baker so they definately won't look professionally made. *They are not quite circular and rectangular because I used a baking sheet rather than pour the mix directly into the baking tins so hence the funny shape*. I dint want my fresh looking tins to have burnt or dried marks on them.
So yea here are the little wonders.
PS- everyone that had a bit LOVED it to the fullest. Both cakes only lasted a day!!!!!!!! I would have iced them but due to lack of time and icing....well they still loved it. It was yummy!
How's it going. I shall be blogging by His grace as soon as I get to a computer because this Geeseem (phone) is driving me gaga while typing . So hang on or stay tuned or like cheesy actors say- don't change that dial! What if I do? The TV is mine right? Lol. Just kidding.
Okay
See u in a bit.
Heya!
I love wedding dances and all that gist because I think its cute and very nice.
For some crazy reason, I discovered this video on Youtube and all I could do was drop my jaw. Goodness where did their energy emanate from? The girls dancing like the guys and vice versa. I said to myself, Tee you can't even dance as fast and 'aggressive' like them so don't even picture yourself doing it.
They were also a bit clumsy maybe it was an impromptu thing but they still danced good. The song sounds South African and the fact that they kept repeating it was pretty uhmmm amazing..........also the second guy at 03.07 onwards cracked me up.
All in all, they are pretty energetic- maybe they had Gatorade mixed with Baileys topped with Barcadi- the energy is over the top. Lol.
Enjoy!
PS- No insults or disrespect intended. They all did a good job!
I'd also like to thank Sasimalia of The making of Mrs Ndem's blog for the versatile blogger award. Bless you plenty. *Hugz* And please do check her blog- this young lady literally planned and organised her own wedding, she is good!
Please visit 9jaFoodie's website and do register as well!
I decided not to let this day go by without me punching my keyboard buttons to blog.
The weather has been quite unique this week. Its been raining non stop since last Thursday/Friday I think. Well it does kinda stop for an hour or less and then starts again. Its not heavy rain though but its like spraying. If you stay in it for about 5 mins, you'd start looking like you are sweating on a lovely morning which isn't quite cool.
Moving on from the weather, on my way back to the humble abode, I spotted an old lady with her grandson. The little "brat" (as I choose to call him here) was running well ahead of his nan. The poor nan had a bag in one of her hands and looked like she couldn't wait to get to her destination.
Suddenly suddenly (D'banj's voice), this little BRAT saw a pair of socks lying in the middle of a minor road with cars moving in both directions. He ran to the middle of the road and picked the dirty socks and threw them in a puddle by the road side and made a splash. This poor woman stressed her aging lungs and throat shouting at this lil brat to STOP IT RIGHT NOW in her typical Yorkie accent. She yelled and kept yelling at him to quit it but he did not listen.
A peaceful dude minding his business was walking past and this little boy picked the socks and did a twirl with them in his hands thereby splashing dirty water on his pretty looking pants. I couldn't help but squint as though he was a lil kid I knew. Deep in my mind, I was yelling at him even though it din't escape my mouth and I couldn't tell him to stop because his nan was walking closer to him with each step she took, getting ready to spank him with her other hand.
I never thought the old woman could pick herself off the floor like that. She ran so fast that the lil brat himself took off running. But he ran facing on coming traffic's direction, he wasn't paying attention to see if any car was approaching. He wasn't scared of getting hit by a car. He kept running and this old lady who doesn't wanna lose her grandson started yelling again. She had obviously had enough of the boy and was sick and tired of his company for the day.
He ran up a hilly bend which was extremely dangerous because he could have been hit by a car so easily because it is a sharp bens with no driver being able to see ahead until they are past the bend. No one would have seen him there.
To be honest, the lil brat annoyed me. I thought- Supernanny can't even do anything for this boy, buy him a one way to ticket to a certain country located in West Africa. I am not stating country names here hmmmm.
The next thing that came to my mind was "How I wish he was in Africa, shouting would have only been the tip of the iceberg".
Running on a road in the direction of oncoming cars and you are being told to stop and you are not listening? hmmm *shaking my head in disgust with a sarcastic laugh* . That day the brat will understand the difference between sugar cane and stinging cane, star jump and frog jump, stool down and point to the ground, ride a motorcycle on the wall and ride your scooter, stand in the corner with your hands up (Praise the Lord) and go in the naughty corner.
I love my African peeps especially the teachers- mayne they were good. Did they study "how to disciple students when they did their teacher training?
Thats the story of the little brattie brat. Gosh that little muffin case annoyed me!!
Moving on to other news, I read about Beyonce's baby bump on Linda Ikeji's blog and its making me hope it isn't true because that would make me really mad at Beyonce if she really is............not!
But lets wait now, we'll see who the baby looks like when he or she arrives and we'll do some calculations.
Also, lately I have noticed that guys have started using DEAR quite a lot now. Its something that I find weird because it was never their thing to call or refer to people as "dear" but they all use it now. Even uncles or cousins that were like hardcore before, when you say
Tee- Good evening cuz or uncle
Uncle or Cousin- Good evening dear, how are you dear?
Tee- Uncle, can I use your phone?
Uncle- Yes dear
Tee- Uncle can I use your credit card?
Uncle- No..........dear!
I'm not complaining, guys please continue using dears and darlings, it makes you more approachable. I will sure think that someone who uses dear and all is quite soft and kind on the inside.
You all know I luv ya right?
Have a fab one!
PS- I know the picture doesn't match the story but I kinda think its cute. Although I love puppies, that dont mean that sharing ice cream that way is something sensible to do. And also apologies for the typos if any. I'll do some good editing soon.
Gotta chill out sometimes mayne......so I felt these might put a smile on your face if not a big smile or a loud laugh.
Nigerians are so HILARIOUS!
Wait a minute- I think people from other countries do ask such questions. Like seriously?
Here are a few questions;
You went home and came back to school and your friend sees you getting on the shuttle bus or something and says-
Friend- Are you back?
Tee-No I am still in Saudi Arabia, it is my carbon copy or photocopy standing in front of you
Sees you at the beach-
Friend- What are you doing here at the beach?
Tee- I have come to do some shopping on the water
Sees you at a restaurant-
Friend- What are you doing here?
Tee- I have come to watch save the last dance part 7
Sees you in church-
Whats up, How come you are here?
I have come to see a movie
Sees you at the cinema
Hey long time, what are you here for?
I have come to pay school fees
Sees you in a store
Friend - What are you doing in this store?
Tee- I have come to just do some sight seeing.
Goodness we can be funny at times and YES I do ask these dumb questions sometimes too especially "Are you back?"
Hmm don't shine your thirty two like you don't.
LoL.
Did that put a smile on your face?
If it dint, then you really really really need to take it easy, take a break along with a chill pill. ;-) You are not mahogany wood or whatever. Wood is wood!
Have a fab one!
PS- a lil tired at the moment, been blowing my nose all day. I hate having a cold. I had to buy a long pack of tissue. I'll post some better things by tomorrow or so.
How are you all doing?
So summer is officially over!!!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrr
The weather last week was fabulous. It was like 20-something degree and cold water was flowing like .....errr.....water. (duh!) I made sure I kept a bottle in my handbag all the time and I kept topping it up every half hour I should say? It was that warm but I wasn't complaining hence the pictures from Saturday. Rather wear tank tops that a sweater.
So on Sunday morning, I had to go out at about 6.30am and it was still warm. I stepped out in a casual tee and took a mini sweater along just incase. At almost 8am, then I put my sweater as it was getting chilly. While I was enjoying the morning sight and weather someone amazing said Oh Tee, do you know it is supposed to get colder today? and I thought to myself "Thanks for that information NOT!". That made my body go into- "its really chilly" mode and ever since then the summer clothes have been traded for warm cosy attires. But I still wanted to enjoy the "last day of summer" and the sight.
So I took these pictures AGAIN!....I know I know.
Sun gradually rising
and then it completely arose!
So I went back home to bed and totally slept off. In other words, I ended up getting up late for church. Lord please forgive me! ;-)
The day was lovely and the weather was fabulous. Fast forward to Wednesday, the weather was hinting to get your thermal attires out. Boots were stamping the dry fallen leaves. Cups of tea were flowing like water (now that reads right. lol).
The trees are preparing for their annual leave...
.....some leaves have already decided to leave
And then the skies became a beauty to behold.....
Autumn showing its color...
Windy and rainy evening
The evening blue skies
But the weather became so so so so cold- and then the hailstorm was jaw dropping If it is 8 degrees now then what is it going to be in December.
All in all, we thank God for another October and so on.
Once again, enjoy the pictures and don't worry, I'll try to resist taking similar snaps.
So a few days ago, on my way out and in, the sun was shining so bright and it was so beautiful. God has got a great and wonderful taste. He makes all things beautiful.
I just had to point and shoot as in point my phone at it and (shoot) pictures (not the other way round *wink*). People kept staring at me taking pictures but I was like "aint you seen a pretty girl taking pictures of the sun before?" LOL.
I just can't stop saying- it was a pretty sight and yea I bet you are thinking- whats wrong with her now? I'm just going to click away from this.....please don't!!
Admire the pictures as I do!
Enjoy!
PS- Thinking to myself- my phone actually did a good job....maybe I should use the camera more often.
Happy new month to my followers, fellow bloggers, reader and yours .
May this month deliver the goodness, joy, and all the great things you desire to you and yours.
Have a fab one!
Anyways today was good, my church had this summerfest/barbecue thing today and it was real fun(ny). I checked the weather forecast today and it was meant to be a rainy day with max temperature of 14 degrees or 16- cant remember exactly now. So yea I was meant to leave around 10am or so (being a "worker" I had to be there early) but I didn't get there until about12.10pm. It was scheduled to start at 12pm. I felt bad but I just put a brave face on- you know!
Ok she said….she did. She has debuted officially her show Changing Lives on the Stella Damasus show on OHtv last week. I actually tuned into watch last night thanks to a certain Miss Teewai for calling to inform me about the show. First up, I was like what now, what is she doing and then Teewai told me to ‘Shut up’ (ouch Imma get u missy) and watch. I did partially and for the half hour that it aired it was fab! She was looking good, her make up was on point, and her wardrobe was stunning. Gosh thumbs up girl. Made Aunty Teeeee proud. J
She said something about starting small when she had no sponsors and it was all put together by friends, family and other well wishers. Awwwwww
She's backkkkkkk!!! Toya Carter is back....with her new reality TV show without Tiny. The show premieres on the 12th of April.
This should be interesting.......
